That is good to hear... It always makes me happy to hear that the media lost. They tried to make the shooter out to be the bad guy and he truly was just defending himself.

It always makes me sad/mad to hear any situation where someone actually has to pull the trigger though. Like you all said it is a shame that something as minute as a dinged fender can cause a situation like this. But that's what you get for hitting someone with a pipe.

Who did the door dinging ?........Who started the confrontation ?....
Who made physical-contact first ?.......WHO FREAK'N STARTED IT ?

By the way ......Anybody can be any reigion they want...there's NO! waiting piriod for churches.....(they can even be NUT-CASES).

In regards to the discussion on duty to retreat, I believe the time for retreat was BEFORE the pipe was swung. Once hit in the head, the victim is under attack and defense becomes necessary. At that point, I'd think duty to retreat isn't a factor any more.

Nope, a dinged car shouldn't have come to this, but the guy that died didn't die because of the ding. He died becase he attacked another individual with a deadly weapon (the pipe). There was an exit point in the altercation that the pipe-swinger could have taken to end the incident, but he chose attack instead, which is (as well it should be) treated as a whole new incident.
