Question for Texas LEOs
I have a question about the new law concerning carrying a vehicle in your vehicle (Full text - http://www.capitol.state.tx.us/tlodo...l/HB01815I.htm)
The way I understand it, when driving my car I can have a firearm on my person, or in the glovebox, console, etc. My question is this: if I have a passenger in the car, does the firearm need to be out of their reach? Since the vehicle is not in their control, the law does not seem to exclude them from unlawful carrying. Any input will be greatly appreciated. |
