Ive carried the 070 SSIII for more years than I havent. I am just as fast drawing it as the newer guys are drawing a level I holster. The raptor is a good holster as well, but it has a different draw stroke. My office mate prefers the raptor over the 070. The BEST advice I would give you is try both holsters while attached to your belt. Either way, if you arent already familiar with either one, practice drawing several hours before going on duty with a new retention holster.

+1 on trying them out. If you want an honest opinion about safety, retention, ease of draw, and my personal opinion I can do that for you....

But try them both out if you can then make an educated decision. Remember that this holster is going to be protecting the very weapon that could save your life. Choose wisely.

Personally I am a fan of the Raptor. Its what I carry in a level 2.
