Headbutting a Limey cop--not cool

I gotta hand it to British LEO's....being forced to work the increasingly mean streets of the UK unarmed has turned them into some tough SOB's:

Took him down...

More and more British cops are being armed. Not sure of the exact percentage but they started arming certain officers on the beat a while back.

Good to hear. I remember reading something about them having armed units that would respond to "high-risk" calls kind of like SWAT-lite, but if the average street officer is carrying maybe somebody's finally getting the message.

They have SWAT teams but they also have armed street cops too. But not all of them are armed.

I understand. The story I heard was that they had roving units that weren't as hard-core as traditional SWAT, but were better armed and equipped than the average officer. Kind of an intermediate type of thing.

Hmmm, head butting him isn't cool but referring to him as a "Limey" is?

I suppose that's not nearly as bad as spic, n!gger, gook, nip, or cracker though. Or does it depend on the reader?

You cannot legislate morality, and banning inanimate objects will never substitute for personal responsibility. Banning and limiting things merely makes them profitable to criminals via laws of supply and demand.

Easy there.....limey's no different than a Brit calling me a Yank. It's slightly derogatory, but in an affectionate way. Stop pissing on my thread.
