Got sworn in today!
Well, I can officially say I am a law enforcement officer. I was finally sworn in today, almost 2 months after I passed my exam. I FTO'd all last month, but with plainclothes as I wasn't sworn yet. I couldn't carry, get out on traffic stops, etc. I got sworn today and can now carry, make stops, etc. I'm pretty excited.
Glad to be apart of the brothers and sisters in blue.

Congratulations, sir! The road to being allowed to wear a badge isn't easy, so that's quite an accomplishment.
 You're going to be underappreciated and stressed out, but just try to remember that citizens are people too and many (if not most) have at least a little respect for the folks in blue and the job they do. Try not to get bitter and jaded--you're too young for that.  ETA: are you in the Boise area? My wife and I are considering moving north and we've got relatives in Idaho. What's a nice place to live for an "average" income earner?

We live in SE Idaho, near Idaho Falls. Very affordable. I mean, my wife and I are students making zero bucks, but we have a comfortable living. Of course, we live in an apartment, have zero debt, no kids yet, etc. You can make it with an "average" income. Let me know if you have any more questions.
