Bought my XD - Now for a holster!
Can't wait I ordered my XD 45 Service for Quantico Arms downs in Oceanside. These guys are great! Hopefully they'll be able to ship it today so I can pick it up tomorrow!
For to find a holster for duty use. Since Safariland isn't making any hoslters for it with lights attached until September time I need to find something else. Was looking at Bladetech but not being able to see them in person its hard to justify the $125 price tag. Anyone know of a good holster setup for the 45 with X200 light? |

Blade-tech makes an excellent holster. They have the only XD w/ tac light specific duty holsters right now that you would consider. As far as safariland, just curious, where did you hear they are going to start making them this summer? We have been waiting for a LONG time for them to finally get smart and create one.
You can also check out some other holsters from safariland that may be compatable. The 40 service with tac light is compatable with the H&K 45 holster. Might want to go to your local safariland dealer and play with some holsters. |

My cousin is with Denver PD he swears by Blade Tech. He owns several XD's and Blade-Tech holsters. He is also an Adj. Instructor at Gunsite. I think he knows of what he speaks.

My guess is that there isn't a large enough demand for Safariland to kick start the production. Now second question. Are there any stores selling the Blade Techs other than Blade Tech? At $125 a piece they are twice as much as the Safarilands. |

actually for a duty holster, they are a bit cheaper than safariland. Key here is duy holster. They get expensive when you start dealing with the higher quality demands for duty vs. CCW.
Call them and let them know you are LE. This will help |

I don't mind the price if I could see it and knew that it was a quality holster. I'm not thrilled with the fact they aren't lined like the Safariland models are. The other thing is choosing between the DOH (whatever that is lol), the loops and the Tek-Lok system. When I talked to the customer service person she didn't seem to know to much about the differences in them either. |
