To all LEO's please be careful out there.

I am not an LEO, I am a funeral director & embalmer. I have seen bodies where the cause of death was by gunshot. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND: Any bullet whatsoever that makes contact with soft tissue will do an awesome amount of damage. The higher velocity rounds tend to "sail through" while smaller caliber bullets tend to do the most harm, in my opinion. I have observed an autopsy performed on a gunshot victim where the victim was shot in the neck with a .22LR round, with the shot determined by the pathologist to be made parallel to the ground. The bullet was recovered in the abdomen area! The "bounce around effect" absolutely sealed this person's fate. Body armor should only be seen as a precaution, not a panacea. I have not yet had to bury a cop, and I hope that I never do. Please guys, none of you are bulletproof, vest or not. Please be careful out there, and keep up the good work, and THANK YOU for the job that you are called to do!

Hope the humor isn't inappropriate, but at least this settles the caliber debate! .22 is king!

Stay safe.
