Anyone see this major slap in the face to all past and present LEOs out there? My wife sort of "forced" me to sit through the first 45 minutes of it....after that, I just couldn't take it anymore.

LaToya Jackson with a in uniform? 3 BLOODY WEEKS of training and they're on the street - armed and in uniform???? One of Ozzie Osborne's kids ("I used to be a drug addict"!!!!) included in this insane "reality" show ("been shooting guns since I was 6 years old"!!!, but at least he can hit a cow in the a*s with the Glock they gave him). That old washed up actor who played "Ponch" on CHIPS back in the 70's....more damn wrinkles than I've got! Some female ex-wrestler and a midget off some show called "Jackass". What a crew.....

Munsee (sp?) Indiania put these poor boobs through 3 weeks of "intense" training and then swears them in as LEOs. Puts them with a more experienced partner (now, how bad do you think they had to piss off the sarge to draw that assignment???) and on the street - at night - in the "rough" part of town.....

Watched old Ponch pick up a 75 year old woman on drug charges, Jackson "take down" a guy wanted on warrents, the midget pick up a DUI, that was it, I was out of there! Wife told me Osborne got in on a DD....couldn't even listen anymore - begged her to STOP!

UGH! This has to be some kind of sick joke......

I saw a commercial for this a few weeks ago and chuckled to myself. I never in a MILLION YEARS thought that they'd ARM them. I figured it was more of a ride-a-long type thing. This is very disturbing. If I lived in Muncie, I'd be the hell out of there ASAP.

but hey... they're capable of knowing what to do, what not to do on that short training period, and the fact that they are celebrities.

To be honest, this isn't just a slap in the face of any LEO out there, it's a slap in the face to those in this country who are kept from having CCW because people don't think they can handle it... yet celebrities, all in the name of reality tv are fully capable of having police powers, when others are kept from having basic self defense powers.

But yeah, I think it is a cruel joke on regular law abiding Americans. Who says we are all equal to this goverment of oligarcs?

I have to agree with all of you on this subject, which is why I will never watch it.

It really does make a mockery of what those of us who are and were leos went thru to make it thru our academy. It also make a mockery of the competition just to make it into the academy.

In my case, back in '75, I was one of 700 applicants for my former dept. 250 made it thru all of the tests and entered the academy. I don't have the stats, but I know that some failed to complete the academy.

Yet here, we have a few minor "talents" who went thru a special 3 week academy and wa la, they are reserve officers. What an insult!

I would rather get a root canal than watch that mindless crap........its just another way to get BS ratings. I guess they dont have enough crap tv shows about our job, so they dove head first into the cesspool of "reality TV"..........

It is on again tonight wooo hoo. More ridiculousness to come. Also how the hell did Jack Osbourn get any guns. Did he not check himself into rehab a year or two ago when he was over the age of 18. I guess our laws have no effect if you have enough money to get out of anything. Must be nice to be a celebrity.
