Use Of A Taser

Video shows LEOs and a really BIG aggressive GUY. Interesting, and the proper use of the Taser shows how it controls the situation without lasting physical damage to anyone.

Seen that one before, but it's always interesting to see tasers in action. They are probably the best non-lethal weapon in use today.

Except when they are used as a cattle prod by over zealous officers.

Pain compliance is being taught and encouraged in many departments.
This is wrong!! The taser was designed to stop a threat without having to kill the attacker. It wasn't designed to "convince" the subject the cop is right.

the use of force policy in many (most) departments states the tazer can be used upon subject non compliance, so basically if the person, subject, offender doesn't do as told to do, the tazer can be used immediately.

So what's wrong with pain compliance? What do you think control holds and pressure point manipulation is? Or pepper spray? Or a baton, for that matter. Any less than lethal force is pain compliance. A Tazer is just the newest less-lethal that we use.

And that is what is wrong. It gives even honest citizens no right to even disagree with a cop. Let's play simon says or I'll taser you.
Like a boot camp soldier with a hateful drill sergeant.

Nothing is wrong with it when it is used at the right time. The only right time I can think of is when an officer is attempting to arrest and handcuff a suspect and they are resisting.
Too many times it has already happened...." Get out of the car or I'll taze you"
Cops never pepper sprayed like this....they would pull you out of the car and forcibly cuff you...many suspects back down when there is more than one officer and they are being pulled out...they know they are in trouble.
Some officer and departments have found it easier to use one officer and a tazer before even making any physical contact with the suspect.
