Anyone Have Experience With Extreme Shock or Critical Defense Ammo?

Talked to the guy in procurment last night. He tells me that they'll be replacing our duty ammo after the June certification shoot and he wants us to shoot whatever we have left of the old stuff (Federal HydraShok). I asked him what we'ed be getting and he indicated it was either Hornady Critical Defense or Air Freedom Extreme Shock. I think they're leaning towards the Air Freedom as we're mostly inside the Court building and they're concerned about over penetration and collateral damage. Anybody use either of these rounds for duty? We used the Hornady TAP round before they switched to Federal and I really liked that round in 165 grain - been using it for quite awhile and always found it to be outstanding. Was surprised when they went back to the old HydraShok a few yesrs ago (guess they got a good deal of this stuff).

Gimmick rounds... If I had to pick between the two I would take the Hornady.

I kind of agree on the Air Freedom - looks like frangible ammo, which I don't have a lot of confidence in. I hope they go with the Hornady - but we have little (or no) say in it - they'll buy what they want and we'll carry it.
