Hello from a retired leo of 27yrs from LASD.

Wish I wasn't retired. Just found out today in the union newsletter (assoc. member) they just obtained the best contract in 20yrs. It would have meant with everything they obtained, a 46% raise over 28 month period, retroactively for me. They added longetivy for years on which they hadn't had for 30yrs. I was a sgt., so that would have been about $134K per yr. at the end of the period. Sweet. Damn.

Of course, I still wouldn't have been able to buy a home in L.A. county.

retired, we are currently going into arbitration, no contract for about 2 years...sweet retro check when its settled ...I see a new XD SC soon

Mike, if I was still on, I could have bought 1 of each of the XDs and a bunch of other guns/rifles. Oh well, that's the hand I was dealt.
