ok Check this out my girlfriends house has constantly gotten vandalized. We've filed police reports police couldn't do anything about it. LAst weekend a bottle got thrown through my friends girlfriends back glass of her car outside my girlfriends house. Ok heres my question we have 3 kids who were outside at the time that saw it happen and recognized the kid who did it. When i say kids i mean teenagers. we filed a police report but didnt know that these kids had seen anything we now know. It happened last sat. If we call the police now will they be able to do anything since we now have the teenagers that saw it in agreement to tell the cops? so basically i got 3 witnesses and it happened last saturday will the police be able to do anything about it? or am i sol?

Depends on the department. Tell the teenagers to go to the station to file a report. It will be added to the original.

I'd tell you what *I'D* do if I was the cop working this. I'd have the teenagers come in and I'd give them voluntary statements to fill out. Basically they'd write down what happened, and I'd add it the report.

What do the teenagers know? Do they know who did it? Can they give the time it happened? Do they have a good description of who did it? Were they driving a car?

Yes they know the kid from the school they go to and they could give the time and and exactly what happened.
