I have heard just being yourself is the best bet. You should have nothing to hide and if you do, you're pursuing the wrong career. Its okay to be nervous, but being nervous about something you're hiding isn't gonna work out. Just be yourself and goodluck!

Forget all the stories you have heard about ways to "beat" the poly...none of them work.
Just be honest.

Live a good life, confince yourself that no man (or women) is better then anyone else. Realize that even the people that administer such tests may have flaws or be engaging in deception. Depending how large the flaws. The people that you are endevouring to work for might not be the types you would enjoy working for in the long run. On the other hand, you might have found the very best of the best. Look for professional conduct by others administering the job selection and yourself most importantly. Been there, done that myself. Bascially, I am not convinced that problems would persist on either side of the job factor. After all, people are people and if a machine was an answer to all of societies problems, there would be a polygraph on every street corner. PISTOLARMORER

I hear smoking marijuana 10 minutes before your polygraph tends to calm your nerves. Try to avoid taking any uppers such as speed, cocaine, or meth.
