firing pin
I've noticed that part of the firing pin "catch" is slightly worn. Fortunately, the portion that actually is held by the sear is fine. But just off to the firing pin safety side it shows wear. Here too, however, it in no way seems to interfere with the firing pin safety, as it is on the frame side of the slide. Any ideas as to why this is so? Does it come into contact with a part of the frame as the slide is cycled during firing or removed for cleaning? Sorry I don't have a picture. Thanks.
