you have to reassemble to test it. Once you disassemble and reassemble a few times youll become very quick at it. The best way to test it is to rack the gun, pull the trigger and hold it down, rack it, let go of the trigger slowly to see if it resets (it will click). The overtravel stop will have to be fitted, so dont shave off too much in b/t testing.
If you have any trouble call Daniel he gives great tech support.

Thanks DonXD40. I believe that is hard to expect more from a 3" gun at 30ft. I see guys all the time trying to get good grouping at 50 & 75 ft and personally I don't think that is realistic for a personal defense weapon with only a 3 inch barrel.
With that said I am totally tickled and blown away with how good I shoot my little gun. I never imagined that It would shoot so accurate or that even I could hold it steady enough to shoot it that accurate. Usually on my range trips I shoot between 100 and 150 rounds, generally with 15 rounds in each magazine. My best target for nearly every session is the second magazine I put in my gun for the day. It seems on the first target I have to refind my sight picture, my gun shoots point of aim, what ever you cover with the front sight is what you hit. Another thing that helped me shoot good was by using shoot-n-c targets. I have old worn out eyes and it was hard for me to see where I was hitting on plain paper targets and the shoot-n-c makes it so you know where that first shot went and it is easy to correct for the next 14 shoots. I save my best target from each round and mark it on the back with date, range and round count. Usually the last two targets and magazines I shoot each session I will shoot two shots at one target and two at another back and forth or up and down. This has been a good drill and I'm getting better with it each week. It makes a fun game to end the session.

I just got back from the range for the first time with my Powder River kit installed. I installed the OTS and the safety lever this afternoon and headed out. My grouping were immediately tighter and Im not shooting as low as I used to. I am going to try and add the trigger spring and see how it goes. I cant wait to get more range time.
Kudos to Powder River for the great kit and Propellerhead for the awesome instructions. Took me about 45min and it was the first time Ive taken my gun farther down than a field strip. Highly recommended!! |

Has anyone used the XDM kit? It is different than what is shown in the begining pictures. The striker safety lever fit fine, but the trigger would not move at all with it in place. I can't believe these kits don't come with instructions.
