After reading all of this, I like the idea of taking the slop out of the trigger, however, I have two Q's

1: A safety concern. While carrying a gun with near zero "creep" before reaching the firing point, has anyone had any issues while drawing, handling, or reholstering?

2: Has anyone experienced any reliability or wear issues on the plastic overtravel stop over time?

Thanks & Aloha!

I can answer #1 for most everyone. There should not be any issues when drawing or re-holstering the firearm because when doing those things, the trigger finger should be off the trigger. If someone does have an issue, they are obviously not following proper gun safety.

I don't think anyone has shot enough with the plastic overtravel stop yet to experience wear issues. Honestly though, it's a $12 part. If my XD-45 were a serious carry gun, I'd spend the $60 and get the Springer trigger bar. For my purposes of it being a range toy, the $12 part is perfect.

I can't imagine shooting my XD enough to wear out the plastic overtravel stop. I mean seriously, the trigger bar rests on it. How many 10s of thousands of rounds would it take to cause any appreciable wear. Hundreds of parts in your car serve the same function, and no one gives them a second thought.

Question

i installed the safety lever and overtravel stop 2 weeks ago and finally got to shoot it Sunday. the actual trigger improvement felt great, no question about that. but i had a few issues that im hoping i can get some help with here. i went through 100 rounds and...

1) 3 or 4 times, the slide did not lock back after the mag was emptied. im thinking this has nothing to do with the PRP pieces and that i should take a look at the release lever (that i took out during the install) and be more aware of my thumb pressing down on the lever upon firing my last round. any ideas or input?

2) 2 times, i had a FTF type problem. id be half way through a mag, id line up my sights and pull the trigger... nothing. the indicator on the top of the slide would be showing as a rounded chamber, but the firing indicator on the back would show nothing. so id pull the trigger again... nothing. drop the mag, rack the slide and sure enough, i got a round in there. this was identical both times it happened. any ideas on what the problem could be? what i can do to better pinpoint the issue once it happens again?

any help would be appreciated! thanks! (i post this here bc it was right after my PRP install and thought maybe it was a rare issue/problem)
