From my experience and what I've read, the XD will without problems. I've put quite a bit of Hornady TAP (Red Box) 230gr +P's with no problems.

Thumbs up

Without question. That's one of my preferred carry loads, just in another weapon. I shoot Speer Gold Dot 147-grain +P loads and have had no issues of any kind. The XD is +P+ rated, so anything you put through it should be just fine.

FWIW, My friend supplied me with some EXTREMELY hot loads that he came up with -- hotter than the Speers. In my preferred carry gun, a Kimber Pro CDP 2 (which is where I carry the Cor-Bon 200-grain +P's,) my hand was killing me afterwards. He gave me 150 rounds of it, and in the Kimber I could only handle 24 (three mags) before I gave up. I was able to shoot the rest today in the XD with no issues whatsoever -- and MUCH LESS PAIN!!!

Basically, shoot anything you want -- the XD WILL hold up!
