need sight help
just purchased a new XD 9mm tactical. Awesome gun in all respects except for the sights. they are stock, and do not give me a great picture. Can anyone recommend replacement/aftermarket set up that can be used for self defense/target use. I personally like a thin front site that i see on many competition guns, but have no experience with brands, etc.
does not have to be "nite sites" per say. any help would be greatly appreciated. also, if i purchase them, will SA put them on, and if not, does anyone have knowledge that doing it outside their shop will void their warranty?? thanks again |

Get ahold of Springer Precision for some Dawsons... Theyre not GREAT for carry because of the thin front sight, but if thats what you want theyre perfect...

+1 Sloopy on contacting Springer Precision.
The fiber optic front sight is great for competition, however, it and the Dawson adjustable rear sight (which I would recommend) have very sharp edges. They work great in full length "plastic" holsters like the Blade-Tec but may hang up in soft holsters or holsters with soft linings.
