What is the loaded weight of the XD pistols with a high capacity magazine?
We are trying to determine the loaded weight of the XD Pistols with the high capacity magazines.
XD-9 4" XD-40 4" XD-45 4" Springfield was only able to provide the unloaded weight. We are talking about providing duty weapons for officers. Thanks !!! |

The bullet grain also determines the weight so weights will vary. I have no scale but I can tell you my 5 inch 45ACP with a tungsten guide rod and extended base pad with 16+1 is a brick! I love it.

Well the weight varience is only going to be an ounce or so either way depending on the weight of the ammo you put in it. I wouldn't worry so much about weight as reliability. I would carry a heavier reliable gun, than a lighter, less reliable gun. If you are looking for departmental issue weapons, make sure you tell the Springfield this and any other company you contact as if you are ordering enough of them, they may send you a few trial guns. When i was working for the PD, they had sigs but wanted to go to something else, and Beretta sent 4 92fs for them to try out for 6 months. |
