Where To Put My Snake

In what type of container should a Boresnake be stored? Metal case, plastic case, Zip-Lok or other? I currently just place it back in its original packaging, but I have yet to soak it. I just swab the barrel and run the snake. I'd rather soak the snake, run it a few times, as I've heard others do, but want to know how to store a "soaked" snake afterwards. Any advice is appreciated? I found what Hoppes and/or Eezox can do to rubber or plastic, because after my first use in the sink, the sink stopper no longer works.

I put mine in Zip Loc bags labeled with the caliber so I can grab the right one at a glance.

I've used the heavy Freezer Zip loc bags, but if you want to be safe, just put it in a clean glass jar from like a mason jar, airtight!

The CLP I use is neither oily or greasy and the solvent (carrier) evaporates after a few minutes. So..... I just wrap it up and throw it into the range bag. No big deal.

When it is time to clean the range towels in the washer and dryer I throw in my boresnakes. Again; No big deal.

I put all three in a ziploc and stick it in my range bag.

It's pretty hard to mess up the 22/223, 9mm, and 12 Gauge plus they are all color coded.
