XD45 compact - 4" vs 5" ; better one?

Background
Shot quite a few handguns and liked the polymer based guns for reliability/easy care. Used a Glock 27 subcompact extensively and felt very uncomfortable with having part of my hand hang off and under the magazine. The clip/mag extenders didn't help much, which is why I'm looking at only the 45 compact or full size. I'm leaning towards the compact.

Use
Home and ocassional CCW use. Concealing isn't much of a problem with me (6'5" 220lb) although I don't think I would be able to with a full size XD45.

Question
I don't have a place to rent any XD's to test on the range. Between the XD45 4" compact and 5" compact would there be a noticable difference in control, grouping, accuracy, etc?

Poo,

The 5" 45ACP tactical is not a compact, It has the full 13rd grip.
The 4" 45ACP tactical is both, a 10rd grip with a 13rd mag ext.

I prefer the longer sight radius of the 5" for accuracy.

No the Compact 45ACP Tactical, has a shortened grip, but othersize is identical to my Full size 45ACP tactcal. I know, because I wanted one as soon as I heard about them.

My reading of SA marketing speak:
Compact=regular frame, but with a shorter grip. Word is they will also do this for the smaller framed XDs (9mm, .40, & 45GAP)
Tactical=5" barrel
Service=4" Barrel
Subcompact=short grip & shorter top assembly with 3" barrel. the 45ACP version is still too unreliable for production.

I carry my XD45 ACP Tactical, in a SuperTuck from CB. Very comfortable, easy to hide, easy to draw, and easy to reholster.

Looking for an HDR*, either an AR-180B, or Kel-Tec FBR.

HDR, Homeland Defense Rifle

I doubt there is a huge difference mechanically, the radius helps some, but its no subsitute for instruction and practice. Some of the best XD shooters I've seen use the XDSC. I do love my 5" barreled 45.

The pic does not match the description. The gun will look like mine, with a cut down grip.

Sorry gentlemen,

I just looked at the picture of the compacts and didn't read through them. The picture looks to be of the service model.

This being the case.

I want the 5" version. Biggers better, especially if it doesn't compromise concealability.

Yeah, their web dude need to get on the ball. Member AKM was able to come up with 6 different working combinations by combining a XD45 Service compact, and a regualr 45Tactical.
Here is a link.
