Here's a list of the small parts he includes in the coloring of "small external parts" (part # refers to the parts lists in the XD manual):

Frame Part #5 - locking block pin/trigger pin-2
Frame Part #6 - locking block pin/trigger pin retainer-2
Frame Part #7 - trigger (not the safety)
Frame Part #14 - ejector
Frame Part #15 - grip safety
Frame Part #16 - grip safety pin
Frame Part #18 - slide stop lever
Frame Part #20 - disassembly lever
Frame Part #22 - magazine catch pin
Frame Part #24 - magazibe release button
Slide Part #27 - striker locking plate
Slide Part #37 - loaded chamber indicator

12 small parts total. Not bad for an additional $40.

Dave,
Thanks for the info. I have the XD45 Service. I am usually looking for ways to personalize my XD. This may be something to consider. I still have plans to upgrade the trigger sear first. I have to call Springer Precision tomarrow for that.
Again Thanks.

My fiancee's favorite color is cobalt blue, and that's the closest thing I could get. I must admit, though, that the color scheme isn't original. Another member here (R/T Performance) did it first.

I don't mind you asking at all. Rich Dettelhouser of Canyon Creek (highly recommended through the forum) did the KG Gun Kote coloring. It was $100 to do the slide and small parts, or you can also just get the slide colored for $60. You, of course, pay for FedEx (or whoever) shipping.

I polished it myself, set me back about 3-4 days of dremel use and 600 grit auto body sand paper. Just takes time, lots of time... It's got a "bling" to it, don't it?
