Love the Patriot theme, Dave. Very cool.

I'd like to see it in white, silver, green, red, purple... How many colors are there in a box of Crayola's? 128? *lol*

Very nice.. Now I must experiment and see which color really hits me best.

Anyone using colors other than white need to post up photos.

I thinking that silver and/or gold would look really cool. I may have to try it...

I like that GOLD. I did mine in ORANGE CRAYON, and it looked horrible because of the wax going elsewhere besides the stamped letters.

I was waiting to see how to clean it out, and start all over.

But now, I may try some silver or gold.

Decisions, decisions.

these look awesome, but for gold and silver colors, why not just use gold and/or silver inlays that are specifically designed for it? Its a lot quicker than using a lighter and melting a crayon...

Mine did after the first trip to the range. But then again it was in Alabama in late summer, and I put about 400 rounds through it in a couple of hours. I didn't notice it at first, but when I was taking a break I saw that the lettering on the sides of the slide were starting to get messy. The top held up pretty well. Not sure what the difference was. After that trip when I was cleaning the gun that night it all pretty much was coming out, so I cleaned it all out. Since then I'd have it duracoated and I may go back and do it with the lacquer stik.
