I had the same problem but i just left it for a day or so and used more nail polish remover and that got rid of the ghosting. Also try using a lot of fresh, clean paper towels or whatever your using. I kinda got the feeling it was the nail polish already on the paper towel that kept leaving the gray color. Don't be vexed, it works fine with a little patience. Definitely post some pics so we can see how it worked.

BTW........... this was done after i had the slide and controls refinished by CCR in a Black Satin Ceramic finish.......made it even smoother to apply
Did anyone Save or does anyone have this Pic with the Gold Crayon in the Engravings ?
I would like to see what the Gold looks like

I upload my pics to Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket where you can sign up for a free account. Then copy the code where it says IMG code, and paste it into your post on here.

I just did mine in Gold...it was alright. VERY difficult to get a nice, even coating into the engravings, especially the Croation emblem on top. I also had a difficult time cleaning up. It looked like I coated the slide in glitter once I was done

I'll probably try some paint of some sort, or just have someone do it. Hopefully I can find someone locally that will do it.
