Question Sight options

I am new to the forum, this is my first post. I have gained much valuable information in the past.
Now I need your help.
I just picked up a brand new XD-9 this week and was planning on heading to the indoor range later today to do a full field test. However,I ordered a model #
XD9831HCSPO6 (Trijicon night sights), but realized soon after I got it home and really looked at it that I was actually given model # XD9810HCSPO6 (Heinie tritium slant pro sights) which I do really like. Now what?? I really want to keep the gun I have as I am already attached, but what are the pros and cons of each site, also is there a diffrence in money for the two diffrent models. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

I think you got the better deal. Go try them at the range. Slow and fast target shooting, then take them out at dusk/night somewhere outside and try them. Sights are individual choices due to differences in eyes and minds. My eyes went to he** when I turned 44, so I am looking to replace my stock sights soon. Look in the Suresight forum here for an interesting alternative.

I think so too.

Trijicon Night sights are around 70 bucks, give or take.

Heinie Slant Pro Tritium retail for about 110, from what I saw. (Could probably check around on the internet and find better deals)

They probably both use tritium vials made by Trijicon.

Does it have a single dot in the rear sight (straight 8 config) or two dots (standard 3 dot sight)?

Either way you'll get used to it, and the shape of the Heinie Slant is a little better IMHO. It's not a matter of better or worse, but preference. If you aren't familiar with either, you'll do fine with either.

You got a nice weapon, and welcome to the forum.

I just ordered the Hienie sights for my XD 45 after having used them on another buddies gun. They are great and I do believe the inserts are made by Trijicon though I could be wrong. The ones I ordered were the straight eight slant pros and for me personnally I was getting faster target aquisition with them.

Enjoying my XD .45ACP Tactical. need to break in my 870, and my wife's XDSC9.

I carry my XD45 ACP Tactical, in a SuperTuck from CB. Very comfortable, easy to hide, easy to draw, and easy to reholster.

Looking for an HDR*, either an AR-180B, or Kel-Tec FBR.

HDR, Homeland Defense Rifle

If you like the Hine sights stick with them, I have Hine sights on my STI BLS40, and I like them, but they are not the night sights. As far as night sights go if you can see them in the dark thats all that matters.
What I have for night sights, Trijicons on my GLOCK, and Khar K40, and PM9 Covert, Novaks on my 1911, and Dawson adj Night sights on my XD, and lights and lazers on others.

Check out the Suresights everyone. They are really cool. I think they could catch on in a big way. It was about a 50/50 split in the shop when we put them on a slide. The people that like them seem to really like them.

Your Heinie sights are cool. They just take a bit of getting used to compared to a standard 3 dot setup. You could always send the slide in to Springfield Custom and get them swapped if you find you would like the Trijicons instead. They are pretty good about that kind of stuff.
