Hmmm... You want to know if you made the best choice?

Depends on your use. Are you carrying it for protection? Will it be employed to defend your home? Is it for competition or range use?

Flames and air movement are cool. I have the same gun and love it. My wife loves the lack of recoil.

the main reason that I bought it was to defend myself...after that...I got some friends that are telling me to compete..one of them has a Glock 17 and he says that my gun is not even near to be as accurate as the Glock

Your friend is a Glock snob.

Your XD will be every bit as accurate as his Glock. The determining factor is whether YOU are accurate with the XD.

When researching development for the XD, Springfield came up with this brilliant formula:

.5Glock + .2"1911" + .3SigSauer X 2 - 1 = 1XD

So in not being any of them, but having the best traits of each...this caused all of the above to cry....cry like the little pansy girly men they are.

I love my V-10 ported XD 40. In double tap or rapid fire the gun settles back down on target as good as any that I've shot. I shoot the XD better than the Glock I used to have.
