New member, quick question...
I currently have the XD40 service and it is the only large caliber pistol I own. I love .40 caliber but I really would like to try 9mm. I know that there are drop in barrels made for this pistol but I don't see a problem in having another pistol. Since owning an XD I have fired a glock a couple of times and I really like there g34 9mm. I don't want to start a war here or anything but I was just wondering if anyone here has experience with the G34. Mind you the XD will always remain my faithful, reliable companion, but I think I'd like to get the G34. I like the sight mount that I can get for the G34 to mount a red dot or holosight. I can't seem to find that for an XD. If any of you know of a sight mount for the XD I can get the 9mm tactical and not worry about the G34.
Any responses would be appreciated.

Here is my old 9mm, this is a Glock mount, modified, to fit onto the XD line. I bought the mount on ebay for about 50-60 bucks I think, about 2 years ago. Cheaperthandirt.com now has them for about 20 bucks. The modification's are VERY minor. All you need to do is , on the scope mount, file down the bottom side of the top. Takes about 5 minutes with a leather man file. The scope mount does have a mounting hole for the trigger pin for gun, but with the XD it is not needed, as the mount fits VERY tightly onto the XD. I use this now on my XD45ACP and it works nice. It has , like I said a very tight grip on the gun frame. When removed and replaced on the gun at various times, I have not needed to re-set the aiming point. It does make it a whole lot easier to hit the target. If you have any other questions about this, feel free to ask. |
