Hello folks. Springfield found another loyal customer with my purchase of the XD-9 5" tactical. I absolutely love it! I purchased it with intentions of entering the stock pistol competitions and am located in the dayton area. If you know of any good ranges/competitions please send me and email or PM.

Welcome to the forum. Congrats on your purchase. There are numerous Ohio folks on the forum. You can click on the USPSA and IDPA links in my signature block and find clubs near you. Maybe some the Ohio folks will chime in here.

central ohio club has idpa this weekend at grove city police range south of columbus...sat 10 am (central ohio defensive pistol.org). have heard about your local ranges trying to get more involved with idpa at dayton gun show this past weekend. cool range with sim. course at i-70 and sr 72 exit at springfield. if you ccw you can shoot that range...(sim course).
just picked up xd 45acp at vances...dozen in stock SELLING LIKE HOTCAKES, sorry for the screaming admins but this is my first visit, and i'm as happy as a little girl...

There are several us a forum members that shoot at the above location on Tuesday nights. You do not have to be a member. We have shooters with just the basic skills level up to some awesome guys to watch run a stage. You will have a FUN night. Learn how to get better and meet a great bunch of shooters of all ages. Three of us are always on the forum. itchy, aiformula and me bobert. Hope to see you there. Just come out and watch at first and you'll want to come back !!!!

Shoot2Live > i went to that range (Lauhorner) last saturday was impressed. i am thinkin about trying to get a league or some sort of pistol events. while i was there i talked with the staff not that long ago, and they have an archery league, but no pistol leagues. a few people i work with are also interested in going to check it out this saturday. i will be bringing about 200 rounds or so. i only have about 125 through my new XD9 Tactical, and last trip i did very well at 15 yards with all rounds in the 9 ring and center. the target is now missing a bullseye =) So if you can show up saturday afternoon and are interested in trying to get a league going, send me an email and i will bring a notebook and start gathering information from people.
