My finger hurts!

Hi everyone,
No, this isn't about loading mags, but that does cause a great deal of pain though. I just bought a XD40 and I love it, but I do have one gripe. I hate that trigger safety! It really does bother my trigger finger. I would think that it should sit flush with the trigger, but it does stand a little proud above the trigger surface.

Does anyone feel the same way and is there anything I can do to "fix" it.
Maybe I'm just feeling a little bitchy

Thanks

When the action cycles I can really feel it. I think the edges on either side might be a tad sharp or maybe some flashing was left on it and it never got cleaned up. Can I remove it and soften it up with some sand paper?

A couple of the 9mm I have shot did not have a projecting trigger safetyl like my XD40SC had. My 40 did bug me so, I took the dremel to the plastic center section and ground it flush to the trigger. It helped. I put the frame in a vice, some "Mag Visors" on my head and hadn't had any coffee. The results were an improvement to me.

Form a callus on your trigger finger less it's too much for you to create.

I'd like to handle one of these biting XD's... No one has ever been to show or really explain very well what exactly is bothering their fingers...
