Not knowing the difference between a supported and unsupported chamber, of the posted pics are the XD40 and the H&KUSP40 the supported chambers?

It probably be easier to visually distinguish the differences if the feed ramps were dirty.

pics supported and unsupported chambers

Sig, H & K, Steyr, and XD would be considered being fully supported more then the other makers shown.

clue, is if the feed ramp incroaches into the chamber area allowing the body of the cartridge to be exposed or unsupported.

if the cartridge looks completely surrounded or encased by the chamber then it tends toward being a FSC.

The Glock is the least supported of those shown. This is necessary to feed well due to the geometry of the barrel (Glocks have very low bore axes and don't tip up as much when feeding) and is done to improve reliability. My XD 40 NEVER fed anywhere near as smoothly as my G23 does.

Unless you're using overpressure ammo, soft-lead bullets, or reloads with used brass (NONE of which are recommended by the manufacturers) a fully supported chamber is not necessary. Don't sweat it.

I find this humorous.

Why are ammo makers suddenly immaculately perfect, when it pertains to someone talking about glock kb's?

People are aways quick to point out that some XD's have bad finishes(factory defect) or any number of machine marks here and there(factory defect), but if you think that glocks KB, you will be ok using only factory ammo?

Why would you take the chance?

On GT there are many instances where people were using factory ammo and had KB's.
