I got choked up several times while reading that. I only made it to page 9 and I broke down and cried for several minutes. I couldn't read any more. I wish I were able to join the military to help fight, but I can't. Maj. Beck is a wonder Soldier and man. I don't know if I would emotionally hold up for his job.

To those in the military, I admire and respect what you all sacrafice for me and for our country.

Merry Christmas. God Bless.

Wow...

Thanks for posting that. What is there to say to all the families who have lost so much, and those who bear the burden of bringing such awful news?

Thank you.

Of all of the things posted on this forum, and others like it, this is the greatest information of all. We 'battle' with typed words, formulating labels for each other based on comments, spelling errors, jokes, and politics. In the end, we are all people; likes those mentioned within the article and the video.

Thank you for sharing this. I was a wreck during the entire read. I then saw the video on Mr. Warns and I wept allowed. That is something I have not done in a very long time.

As my three children lay in their beds asleep, I think to myself, may they never have to endure anything like what I have just read and watched. And if they should, by God, they better have the respect of all Americans; the same respect I have for all who have served and those who have fallen.

God Bless America. God Bless the American Soldier. May God Bless You.

Scott,
Thats awsome that you made this a sticky, my hats off to you sir! I have so much respect for our soldiers and I go through every tribute website that I find, spending hours on end paying my respects. I too hope my children never have to experience the horrors of war but I will respect them in their decision and dedication as I respect all that make this choice.
Merry Christmas,
Todd

To you all who say thanks to those of us who serve:

I am not speaking for everyone who serves but it seems like most of us require no thanks at all. We do it without question, without thinking (so to speak). We thank you all for supporting us in our mission and never forgetting our fallen brothers. Even if no-one supports the War in Iraq, please support the troops. We are average people like you with mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, wives and sons and daughters. Those are the ones we do it for, people like you. So that none of you have to take on the burdon. We thank you for supporting us, especially during the holidays. If there is a USO in you area or a base (Navy, Army, MC or AF) contact them and see if they have a bring home a service member for the holidays where you bring them to your house for Christmas or thanksgiving (I know its a little late). Thank you all for supporting us.

Tombo
