Crop of new Database Errors - XDTalk Forums - Your HS2000/SA-XD Information Source!

Hi All,

Some of you might have begun to see a new crop of database errors. These errors usually last anywhere from about one minute on up to about six minutes. I am aware of the issue and working to resolve it.

The new dedicated server that XDTalk is running on that was installed last month was only suppose to be temporary until I finalized the "big guns" servers that are slated to be provisioned, installed, and up and running by end of March 2008 or in April 2008.

For those keeping tabs and are versed in "IT Talk", the amount allocated for the:

4 New Servers (We're talkin' Quad-Core and 16GB RAM per)
Firewalls including Unified Threat Management services
Layer 3 Switches
Load-Balancing & High-Availability Hardware
Commercial-Grade UPS Battery Backups (We're talking Pure Sine-wave)
Gasoline (Petrol) and/or NG backup generator
Blazing Fast Fiber-To-The-Premise (FTTP) Bandwidth

... the amount comes out to be very large. (High 4-digits)

All of this new infrastructure is not solely dedicated to XDTalk, but XDTalk will be the primary "customer" initially on the new servers. The second "customer" will be the soon-to-be-launched http://shootersflix.tv website. And CZTalk, after much delay, will also be launched.

And that's not even half of what's in store for 2008 from this one-man shop!

Kermee, I have tried several times to post various replies lately but get a database error and it shows I have not made posts recently.

YEAH. This one worked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One question though Boss.

Do I really only have 33 posts?

Folks,

I am alive. I've been dealing with family issues for the past two weeks.

I am aware of the database issues today which happened during peak hours. Good news is that one of the four new servers arrived today and I'm currently prepping it for a deployment this weekend. XDTalk is being moved onto a new Quad-Core server with 8GB RAM so hang tight! It'll fix the new rash of database errors and actually make the board seem and run a LOT faster.
