HS2000/XD Talk Forum Code of Conduct
Your commitment to this Code of Conduct in all message board services, forum areas, sample uploads, and/or other message or communication facilities’ (including any contents of any of these services or facilities) designed to enable you to communicate with the public at large or with a group, ensures a positive experience for all our users. Specific forum areas and message boards may also have additional guidelines which govern your use, so be sure to review them in addition to this Code of Conduct. The Avatar and Signature elements in your Profile Page are to be given particular attention. The Avatar - only one image can be displayed at a time, its width can be no greater than 80 pixels, the height no greater than 80 pixels, and the file size no more than 24 KB. The Avatar must be in good taste and non-offensive to all viewers. The Signature - This is a block of text that can be added to posts you make. There is a 255 alpha/numeric character limit. No graphics of any nature can be posted in the Signature element. HS2000/XD Talk Forum may also be referred to as the ‘forum’. HS2000/XD Talk Forum is owned by ‘Kermee’, otherwise known as Daniel Kao. Respect Others The Administrator and Moderators encourage everyone to treat each other with mutual respect. Do not use any communication or collaboration services to threaten, harass, stalk, or abuse others participating in these services. HS2000/XD Talk Forum reserves the right to remove posts that advocate or encourage expressions of violence, bigotry, racism, hatred, or expletive profanity. HS2000/XD Talk Forum may remove postings that are deemed inappropriate, offensive or that violate guidelines or this Code of Conduct. HS2000/XD Talk Forum may also eject or ban any user from their area who behaves in a manner deemed inappropriate, offensive or who violates guidelines or this Code of Conduct. By participating in a collaborative service, you agree to be bound to the rules of that area. Keep It Legal HS2000/XD Talk Forum does not allow any illegal activities. HS2000/XD Talk Forum is not responsible for any use of anything you say or post. Do not post any materials (including software and other information) that could harm (or is designed to harm) other users' computers or would allow others to inappropriately access software or Web sites. Play Nice HS2000/XD Talk Forum does not tolerate disruptive activity online, such as persistent off-topic comments and postings or statements that incite others to violate this Code of Conduct or participate in illegal activities. Don't Spam Please don't "spam" through our collaborative services, none of our users like it. To spam includes sending identical and irrelevant submissions to many different discussion groups, forum emails, or Personal Messages. Usually such postings have nothing to do with the particular topic of the group or are of no real interest to those on the mailing list. To spam also includes misrepresenting the source of anything you say or post. Spamming and scrolling in forum areas are serious violations of online etiquette. HS2000/XD Talk Forum reserves the right to ban a user at any time, without notice, from any or all collaborative services for spamming. HS2000/XD Talk Forum reserves the right to remove at any time, without notice, any sample and/or post to a forum topic. Registered HS2000/XD Talk Forum members may post Internet website links in their posts. Please be advised that HS2000/XD Talk Forum is not responsible for the content on the websites associated with the links you may view. Some content and links on the Internet may contain adult content and may not be suitable for children. We encourage parents to join their children as they surf and explore the Internet. You are responsible for any actions you may take based on advice or information you receive online. Use your own good judgment when evaluating information provided through any collaborative post, remember that the information provided could be from people of any age and experience level. The decision to conduct transactions with anyone is your own and you should conduct your own research prior to making any decisions. Group Buys 1.) All Group Buys must be handled by XDTalk Moderators or XDTalk Sponsors. 2.) To OFFICIALLY post/start a Group Buy you MUST first contact a XDTalk moderator and have it approved before posting anything about the Group Buy. 3.) Group Buys must have dedicated timelines - A signup period will need to be established, after the signup cutoff date is reached a payment period will need to be established and an order date posted. When the payment period is posted an estimated time of arrival for the group buy will also need to be posted. We realize there can be certain unavoidable delays but the organizer of the Group Buy will need to make sure such instances are kept at a minimal. Product must be available from the manufacturer to avoid missed deadlines. 4.) Only ONE Group Buy is to be conducted at a time per Organizer/Dealer. 5.) Group Buys must be focused on a single product line. NO package deals. 6.) No more Group Buys for specialty items, receivers, uppers, barrels, etc… 7.) All Group Buys must be handled by an established Dealer currently doing business or Industry Partner, such as a manufacturer. 8.) No arguing about another organizer's group buy or about a proposed group buy's price. It is up to the buyer to do the homework and determine if the deal is right or not. 9.) Do not comment on another's G.B. pricing. 10.) Group Buy organizers - DO YOUR HOMEWORK! Make sure you have every detail correct. Make sure your dealer, manufacturer, etc. can provide the goods at the price negotiated and deliver in a reasonable timeline. And most importantly, make sure you can organize the funds appropriately AND keep them separate from all other business. 11.) All Group Buys are between the buyer and seller or Buyers and Orgainzers. At no time will XDTalk or its membership be resposible for the Group Buy, unless stated otherwise by Kermee or the Moderatoration staff. All requests for Group Buys will be taken under advisement and addressed on a case-by-case basis. Uphold the Code In helping to make our collaborative services a great place to meet, chat and exchange ideas, you must do your part to uphold this Code of Conduct. HS2000/XD Talk Forum also reserves our right to amend or change the Code of Conduct at any time without notice. You agree to periodically review this document to ensure you are doing your part. HS2000/XD Talk Forum is not obligated to send users or hosts a warning before deleting any content. Thank you for your cooperation! Kermee, Ed Ely, R Dub and Old School, The Owner, The Moderators and The Administrator of HS2000/XD Talk Forum (06-05-06)
