New Database Server Installed!
Hi Folks,
We're running off the new database server! Thanks to all the donations from last month, we've finally bought a new server to fix the constant database errors and hopefully XDTalk will seem "quicker" and "speedier" on common functions such as searches. I was planning to migrate the database during the weekend, but after a quick "burn-in" test, I decided to move it up to... Oh... 1 AM PST in the morning today.  I have the old server on standby just in case something blows up, but it seems everything is running fairly smoothly!Thanks again to everyone who donated to the new server! Hopefully everyone's XDTalk experience will be much improved without seeing constant database errors! Cheers, Kermee a.k.a. Formerly known as "Bigfoot" P.S. Oops. Sorry for the 30 minute downtime. My fault... I did something I wasn't suppose to and the firewall in front of the servers got REALLY mad at me!
