I believe the mods and OS do a great job and have never obs'd any conflict of interest from them.

From past experience, I know that when OS has become aware of a problem thread, he has locked it. Now, I don't know which one of the mods locked two recent threads in the political section, but I thank them, as it was getting out of hand. Hopefully that problem won't occur again.

Here is a good example of a recent thread that falls into both of these categories. It was started for no other reason than to cause trouble.

Locked Threads

I think it should be locked.

Thanks Old School,

Threads are not locked for political reasons but for reasons that contradict the Code of Conduct. We the mods do what we can to be fair and lock threads when those threads get beyond the level of value and the original thread intent. The last thread locked was at the request of a forum member; one who is far from being a Conservative. The decision to lock the thread was the right decision.

Thanks for clarifying my question (sent via PM) about why that last thread was locked.

To imply that threads are locked for political reasons (you know who you are) is ignorant.

I understand and agree with the name calling thing. I my self would not want to be called a liberal. But if we are talking about a political subject that involves liberals or say Rosie O who is a liberal can we feel free to discuss it and use the L liberal word.

In my opinion PC Political Correctness is unAmerican. It restricts freedom of speech, freedom of expression, freedom of self. It is not popular with me.

I will do my best to behave.

Wow..... the "L" word is now considered to be an insult?

Here is the actual meaning of the word if anybody is interested:

Quote:
Dictionary.com Unabridged (v 1.1) - Cite This Source lib·er·al /ˈlɪbərəl, ˈlɪbrəl/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[lib-er-uhl, lib-ruhl] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation –adjective 1. favorable to progress or reform, as in political or religious affairs.
Oh, no! Who would want to be known as somebody who is in favor of progress......

Where are the moderators? There is a posting of illegally importing or modifying high cap mags in CA, and someone attacks me for reminding them about the CoC, and there is zero mod activity there.
