Just got back from the range

Well, I just got back from the range over lunch. It was a lot better than my last shoot; although, I am still trying to get used to this XD40SC. The only problem though is now I have a blister on my trigger finger on the bottom. Has anyone else had this problem? What am I doing wrong?

How many rounds did you put through it?

I'm guessing the answer is, pop the blister, and shoot more often.

You are squeezing the trigger hand grip to hard. Off trigger hand should have 60-70% of the pressure of pushing the gun into your trigger hand. When squeezing the trigger hand so much it has give you a blister. Just my 2 cents.

nnnooo!!! dont pop the blister! your skin is the best protection for it. It would eventually peel off on its own.

I do agree with shooting it some more.

It's okay to drain the blister, but don't take the skin off. Drain it...clean it with rubbing alcohol, and let it dry out. A little Neosporin overnight won't hurt either.

As you shoot more, that blister will become more of a callous, and you'll have no problem. Same things happen to me when I work with a shovel or rake, which I don't regularly do.

A real man would just put down his gun, rip the blister off with his teeth, and start shooting again!

Seriously, it's just like building muscle memory in our technique while shooting. Don't stop now...there's a callous in your near future.
