XD-9 Tactical's 1st Fun Shoot

Let me start by saying my son and I have been doing Fun Shoots on Mondays at our range for about the last 6 months, so we are not experts or even very good at it. He is always in the top half of shooters and I always bring up the rear. Many of the shooters are into serious competition and are using race guns with sights and race holsters. These fun shoots are just tune ups for them. So we do not expect to be able to ever beat most if them. To us this really is just a Fun Shoot!

I was using my M&P40 that I got last December but I just could not shoot it well. I took my new XD last night (it was only the second time I shot it and had less than 100 shots down the pipe). Immediately we all could tell that this gun shoots so much better. POA is POS, trigger is smooth and crisp and second shots are quicker to acquire. My times were typically 14 seconds when my son's were 11 before. Last night he was shooting 11 seconds to my 6 and 7 (OK, I was way too excited!) but I shot 80 shots and ALL were on target! NO MISSES! I will improve my groupings (he is much more accurate than I am) but we were both pleased with the gun! I am totally thrilled with the XD!

Sounds like the XD is for you! The Tac 9 is a great shooter, especially for a game gun.
I had to laugh when I first read "POA is POS" I was thinking "point-of-aim is piece-of-sh!t".

I meant Point of Aim is Point of Shot
