Sig vs. XD vs. Glock

Shot them back to back to back today. Bought 200 .40s&w and rented a P226. Absolutely loved it. I've been wanting a 229, but they didn't have one on hand. Took back the Sig and got a Glock 22. I kept telling myself before hand, "you better not like this gun" and I came back out happy enough, Glocks absolutely blow. Asked to shoot their tact. length XD, as I have already rented a service. Much much better than the Glock, but not as fun as the Sig. There will definitely be XD's in my future, but Sig's come first. Great day, I did some defensive shooting practice (bringing up from safe aim to target and firing without using sights) with my Smith 439. Did really well, but I can't do double taps at my range. They allow shotguns though. I'd be more forgiving of somebody double tapping next to me than blasting a sbs 5 lanes over. Oh well.

Go for the P229...........
You can always buy a 357sig barrel to use in your 40cal P229.

After that, skip the Glock and let your next gun be an XD.

Can't blame anyone for loving a Sig. I've been resisting the siren song of a Sig 220 for weeks now. Can't decide on a flavor.. Equinox, Combat, .... "Just stay out of the gun shop" I keep telling myself.

How can you guys stand the DA/SA long trigger pull for that first round and then the switch to single action?

I love my sig pro 2022 chambered in .40!!! By far my favorite pistol... My XD45 is a close 2nd and my Glock brings up the rear.

My XDsc is my carry gun occasionally in the "cooler" months (I live in S FL, we dont have many cooler months) so the S&W 442 is CCW primarily. You cant go wrong with 5 shot Smith!!!

I was between a 229 and an XD, and went with the XD and used the extra budget to add extras to it.

I shoot GLOCKs poorly partly due to grip angle, so, like you, I'm not a fan. I really like SIGs and will eventually own a 229 or 226.

Yeah, I've been wanting a 229 in .357 for two years now, but then I held an Equinox. I'm dead set on that now, and if you can decipher my sign. you can see that I've already been planning on getting it.

haha, it's called cocking, pushing the slide catch on a fresh mag, or racking. All make it SA. You actually have to push a de-cocking lever to make it DA.
