new 40cal sc

i just recently purchased my xd 40sc and today took it to the range and i was a lil disapointed with the sights. i love the gun but the sights are off to the right

glad you like the gun. just use a rubber mallet and a brass punch and tap the rear sight to the right.

No and No.

Congrats on your purchase.

I would suggest getting some rounds through the gun before an attempt at adjusting the sights. Also see if another shooter has the same point of impact. If you feel the need to try, please move the rear sight to the left. That is if you are saying the bullets impact to the right of where you are aiming.

+1 to Kent's advice. Run a couple hundred rounds through it and have at least one other person shoot it before you start moving the sights.

XD40sc bad a$$

I just my XD40sc in march 18-08 put over 6000 rounds through mine it is bad a$$, 5 to 600 rounds at a time and it keeps shooting, mine seemed off at the sights but I left it alone and it all worked out, now it shoots ok, I like it so much it has now took the place of my Glock-17 which I carried for 13 years had a M&P40c sold it it did not feel fight in my hand but was a good pistol
