Family Time!

Got in some more range time today...really liking the Powder River Trigger. Especially when compared to my P99 DAO (YUCK). Still shooting low/left, but if I concentrate enough I can pull some decent groups with it. Also started doing some real rapid fire today, since I went to a range that allowed it (3 shots max rapid). Very easy to do with the new trigger. Didn't really double tap or anything, but my groups were very good all things considered. Still going low and left, but there were right in line with the others.

Interestingly enough, after shooting about 100 straight through the XD I was shooting excellent with the P99. 3" 5 shot group in the head of the target, 2" 3 shot group in the body. After that I started sucking again...go figure. This was at 7-10 yards.

And now my hand if black thanks to the Smith. Shot the rest of my .357, and my left hand looks like I just jerked off an octopus, and my right feels like it was run over by a truck. Definitely need a new grip for it, I can't hold on very well with the more powerful loads. Maybe wood...maybe crimson trace laser or something.

Oh, and I found my XD doesn't like Blazer anymore. At least 1 FTE per mag. Looked like the extractor was dropping the case before it hit the ejector. Cases weren't stuck, they would fall right out after I dropped the mag. Oh well...P99 ate 'em no problem.

Overall it was a good day. It got BUSY right when I left. Thankfully only a couple other shooters while I was there. Some hot chick was showing everyone up, too. Looked like she was pretty new to it as well, but she could certainly hit what she was aiming at.
