Range Report XD40 SC

While I went to the range last night with my Xd 40 Sub Compact

The firearm worked perfectly with 100 rounds of Winchester and two Mag's of Magtech all worked without any problems. The gun is everything I planned on since I had only shot the Xd 9 sub compact, I picked up the 40 for $325 bucks used with little wear I mean very little wear after last night the barrel finally started to show wear.

For me the gun shot 3" low and 1" left and another gentleman at the range tried the gun(he never shot an Xd has numerous other hand guns) with similar patterns.

My first thing will do is pick up a few more high capacity Mag's since my shooting is much better using three fingers to hold gun.

That seems like a killer deal, congratulations! Also, keep the high cap mags for the range, but to make the SC more comfortable for carry get a Pearce Grip Extension from Pistol Gear. They make a world of difference when shooting with the smaller magazines.

Nice find. If I could find one for $325 it'd be mine.

You do have a point that I did not think about. I will have to do more shooting to see how it feels. I will most likely buy one standard and one high capacity at the same time any how.

$325 is a killer deal. I'm hoping to run into one of those deals on an XD9 Service.

How far were you from that target?

I've got a Pearce grip extension on my standard .40 mag and it makes a big difference. I really like it.
