Got to try and XD 45 today!

Talked a buddy of mine into buying and XD 45 Service a couple of weeks ago, and we took it out for the first time today. I just have an XD 9 Service and have never shot another XD. I was impressed! It was awesome how close it felt to my 9. The only somewhat noticeable differences were the checkering felt a little sharper (mine has seen a lot of use) and the sights (I have a Dawson front sight on mine). I could definately tell it was 45acp not 9mm, but I was amazed at how controllable and comfortable it was. I was keeping my splits almost as fast as with my 9 and just as accurate. It also fit nicely in my Blade Tech holster. It was a hair more snug, but not enough to matter(good to know for the future). My buddy brought two 100 packs of WWB with the intention of just shooting one, but couldn't help breaking out the other. I think he is hooked, and I think I just put the XD 45 on the top of my wish list!

I had to buy a XD9t to go woth my XD45ct just so I could shoot much cheaper, I agree they feel almost identical, and with the extra rounds almost the same weight loaded.

XD's are awesome guns

Just something a bit more gratifying about squeezing off the .45.
