Krackels - There was a Springfield XD on hand for comparison purposes but I did not shove it into the holster because it was a showcase gun and not a rental. So I can not give you a definate answer on that one. The thought has not even crossed my mind. I always thought of the Springfield XD holsters as a marketing ploy. I personally don't like them. A friend of mine has an XD 9mm 4" and I hooked him up with a Blackhawk CQC Serpa holster and he says its leaps and bounds above the Springfield holster.

The holster included with the XDm is a paddle holster. The XD paddle holsters are so much better than the belt holster that came with the original XD.

I was thinking maybe the mags are not interchangeable because of the capacity. Maybe if they make the 9 or 45 they will be. Just a thought.

Just to correct the comment of good pricing at French Creek Outfitters,,,there prices are horrible,,I use the range but laugh at there prices.

I thought they were good, based upon my experience of the going rate for guns in my area. If you laugh at their prices, you do not want to see the prices here in NYC. A parking spot across the street from the range here is $1200 a month, $1500 if you drive an exotic car, or you can always opt to buy a 10 foot by 8 foot parking spot 1/12 mile away for $235,000.

You're correct. The current magazines will not fit the XD-M model.
