According to my sales rep they should be in the dealer's hands (that attended this small showing) by next week. They could not give me a 100% on this because it seems like Springfield Armory is limiting the information they pipe down the line. I'll have a in depth talk with my sales rep about this. I hope it does not turn out like the Walther PPS and Ruger LCP fiasco which I dubbed "The mythical Unicorn" today during the preview.

Don't hold me to this because it varies by region. I still need to wait until they can pack some NY compliant guns (10 round mags.)

I like the looks of it better then the first ones. Don't get me wrong I love my XD I just like the looks of the M a bit better.

I know I'm a newbie here.....and I probably won't make many points, but I like the M. If it handles like my XD9, I want one of those too!

Is that the same target you were shooting in the video, that you have pictured?

Wow, thanks for posting the pics and additional information. It is nice to see a report and some facts instead of a bunch of speculation. I hope that the XDM is a success and a great shooter, but I will be sticking with my "old school" XDs.

Wow, total oversight on my part. No it is not. I am not that good during faster shooting with a new weapon.

That target was shot by another dealer at a similar distance but slow fire about 1 round every 2 or 3 seconds.

Tripledigitride and mhillsing23 - You are welcome but I wasn't prepared with my camera bag to take better pictures. The preview was thrown together so quickly and I was instructed pictures would not have been allowed but upon arrival pictures were encouraged. Luckily I always keep a point and shoot in my car. I wasn't even expecting to shoot.

In another picture, from SA, you can see, "Match" engraved on the barrel. So I'm thinking M stands for Match. Could be wrong I guess.
