After shooting for extended periods of time on a regular basis you will build up a natural calmness while shooting. This will fix the problem and then you can shoot everything!
I would like to learn to double tap, but I'd have to find a range that allows it, first.

Also, how do you like your Hi-Point C9? I noticed you have that in your sig...was considering it for a cheap range gun.

Just shot 200 rounds out of my new XD9 SC, and I can't seem to shake this flinch. I also shot a good 300 out of my P22. I did notice that I am also flinching with the 22, just not nearly as much and not as bad.

It was VERY noticeable this time around thanks to the long reset on the XD's trigger. Sometimes I'd flinch when the trigger reset. How in the hell do I fix this? I've been dry firing like mad at home, and I just don't flinch then. It's certainly a mental problem...if I know there won't be a bang I won't be flinching. I really don't know what else to do. I tried not counting my shots, and most of the time I'd flinch when trying to shoot again after the last round.

I think I might just go see a therapist or something...
