XD9 Tactical with new sights....
Took my XD9 to the range today. With the new TFO sights.
Those higher vis sights really helped me out. Before I was all over the target. Now I can make night fair sized groups. One of the local security companies was doing a qual at the range today. I shot with them. Mind you they are using B27 (50 yard) targets at ranges as close as 7 yards. There was only one guy who out shot me and I happen to know he is a range rat. During one rapid fire round I put 10 rounds in a group that you could cover with the palm of your hand. That's much better than I could do before. I would like to send the XD9 out for a trigger job. But almost $70 to ship both ways really makes that hard to justify. I will see if my friendly dealer will handle the shipping for me. That would make it cheaper. He has always handled shipping to the factory for me. |

Funny, I had the exact opposite happen to me today. Shot my XD9 SC for the 1st time today with the TFOs, and I went from 3-4in groupings up to 10 yards to all over the place. I'm hopping it was just a bad day... I was pretty frustrated.

Sounds like the new sights were worth the money. Rapid fire groups that can be covered by the palm of your hand is good shooting. Got any pics of the new setup?

I bought the springer precision kit for my XD45 and put it in myself. About ten minutes of extra work with the dremel to adjust the trigger bar. The trigger is amazingly crisp and short now.
