Quick range report..possibly converted another to the XD

Third time out with the XD total of about 400rnds through it. So far, I've had excellent results with WW white box 230gr, my 185 JHP's did deccent, my 200gr SWC's were a total failure, faillures to fire, feed, eject, So, I did some reading here and figured out what was wrong. Failures to fire were from high primers, the SWC's just won't feed in my XD, OK, on to some 230 LRN's, loaded some of those up today, making sure the primers were seated properly, and headed to the range...WOW!! I think I found this pistol's sweet spot. Accuracy was just excellant, and the trigger is getting much smoother and it shows when you shoot it rapidly, Quick follow up shots seemed to be getting much easier. No failures of any kind! A couple of other guys were at the range I was using, one came up to me and asked if the pistol was stock or if it was modified, because you were hitting everything you pointed it at, I said no, it was stock, I asked him if he'd like to try it out, So I loaded up a few rounds in a mag, and let him go. First shot, he hit a pop can I was shooting at, at about 15yds He was impressed, shot the rest of the ammo, and started asking questions. I think he just put a XD on his "buy next" list. So far, it looks like the XD does really, really well with a 230gr bullet. I'm impresed with the level of accuracy from the XD and the 230gr bullet....

Awesome! 230gr bullets do seem to be the best, from my experience (factory ammo only, so far, though.) It is truly a great pistol, and considering the reliability, the accuracy is nothing to sneeze at. It's a natural pointer, imo.

Good range report. Nice job on introducing the XD to others. I've converted several into buying their first XD, no one has been disappointed yet
