Range report for 4-17-08

Went to the range on Thursday morning right after i got off work to site in a couple rifles and practice with my XD40 service.

I shot horrible with it . plain and simple. the targets where at 25yrds and you cant get any closer unless you want to get kicked outta the range(you have to be real sneaky about standing in the middle of the range). 25yrds is the shortest they have there and if you wanna get closer you have to walk from the covered stalls and go stand out in the middle of the firing line.

anyway so i could barely hit the paper at 25. tried different grips and trigger finger placement and didnt improve much. should i really be starting out alot closer? cause i feel like i should.
could really use some advice here

Nice range thanks for sharing.

I wish my back yard looked like that.

That is a very nice range! I wouldn't be too concerned about bad shooting at 25 yards until you have a lot of trigger time at closer distances. Try and start practicing at 7 yards or so.

couple ideas.

Hey Shifty, I have a couple ideas but now and then we all have those off days.
Check out Youtube for Todd Jarret on his demos on grip and stance...pretty informative.
My other thought was the diet dr pepper...man that stuff is going to kill you, switch to CokeZero.
