I was at the range the other day and the only other guy in the place was shooting a Beretta 9mm with a couple add ons. (Wood grips, new sights, etc.)

After I shot my first 25 rounds he walked sown and asked what I was shooting because it was louder than his. After a brief chat about my XD I asked if he wanted to try it.

After 5 shots he seemed impressed and we chatted some more. He asked about the price and was surprised it wasn't at least $650-700.

Just as I was geting ready to leave he came back with a rental XD! Nothing but good things were said by him when he finished.

As I walked out he was heading over to the salesman to get more info.

XD scores again!
