San Antonio, XD Roundup at Bullet Hole Range
The following occured on March 22nd, 2008 between 12PM and 4PM:
A quick story but here's how the day went. 12:00PM Bill Miller's. We met for lunch and those in attendance were Kris, Adam, Chris, Melinda, Renan, myself, Lisa, Armando, Abram. After lunch we raffled off first, second, and third pick of the "Loot" Once we arrived at the range we initially were assigned Bay 2 but that wasn't working for us so we slipped over to Bay 3, while at the range we met up with Nick, Art, and Randy. We started the day with a quick competition, tightest double tap and tightest three shot group. All targets were setup with the shooting line at five yards and we split the targets into two portions upper and lower half. The upper half was for tightest three shot grouping and lower was for tightest double tap. Once all the shooters cleared the line Kris and I went out to measure the groups and Renan ended up with the best three shot group at 1.38" and I believe Kris had a 1.36" double tap. Abram the youngest shooter out there did receive a t-shirt for his effort and I think we got him hooked on the XD since he said he really had a blast out there with us. We concluded the competition with a final handout of prizes. As you can see we managed to get a few group pictures, a big thanks to Randy for taking them! After that the range was open to everyone to shoot at will! We ended up shooting until about 3:30 or so and we ended the event. Kris and I stayed after to shoot on the public line for a bit. So I'm hoping we can make this a recurring event not sure on the logistics but I'll post up a poll to vote on in the POLLS section. Big thanks to Kris(Bearcreek) for all your help and hard work in making this event a success and getting all the cool stuff from Springfield Armory. Thanks again to everyone and until next time be safe and shoot straight!

I had fun. It was really cool of Springfield Armory to throw in some goodies for those who attended.
I think it helps that San Antonio is the biggest tourist town in Texas. It makes it easier to get people to come. Maybe we can do Waco next since I still have to see where the ATF raided the Branch Davidians compound. Houston is cool too. There's stuff there I want to visit as well.

Abram has to get an XD now, to match all the fly gear he's got
It was awesome meeting everyone. Albert, you got me hooked on that 40 man, I'm gonna hold onto my ammo for a month or two and use it to break in my new piece (so I don't have to drop another 30 bucks just to play with my 500 dollar life guarding tool lol). Thanks for everything, everyone. Hope you out of towners enjoyed your stay and it looked to me like we all had fun.
